Years Experience
We envision a world where more African brands are positioned successfully in global markets, taking up space on shelves and in marketplaces, operating fairly and sustainably, not exploited but thriving. Our goal is to bridge trade gaps, foster global connections, and drive sustainable growth for businesses from Africa and minority-owned enterprises from the U.S.
As part of our commitment to social impact, we founded the “Taking Up Spaces Global” community. This initiative promotes collaboration, innovation, and partnerships while empowering micro and women-owned businesses in West Africa. Through training in business fundamentals, packaging, and digital skills, we prepare these businesses to enter the global market. Join our community as a partner, collaborator, or sponsor and be part of this transformative journey!

About The Founder
Lillian Elenwoke* is a seasoned social impact and export strategist with over 18 years of experience in project management, marketing operations, and strategic development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany.
In college, Lillian got curious about business/ enterpreneurship and started “Lylos Glam ‘Cessories,” selling unique jewelry & fashion accessories to fellow students. In 2012, she stumbled into another business idea; “Chicken Center”, delivering chickens to busy professionals in Abuja on weekends and even came up with the tagline “Fresh out the poultry, straight to your doorstep” . 2015 was the year she finally registered a business name and became a Gift Advisory; Curating unique gift packages and creating “intellectual hampers ” for High Profile Clients. Her focus shifted to packaging and export strategies in 2018 after recognizing the potential for African goods in the U.S. market and identifying a gap in packaging quality while working on the Trade with Africa Business Summit in Bentonville, Arkansas, USA. This experience led her to establish MBPackaging as a Doing Business As (DBA) in New York, and later registering MaisonBlancheisAfrican(MBISAFRICAN)LLC in New Jersey, focusing on sustainable packaging and export consulting for small businesses.
